Issuing a message, Custodian of Astan Quds Razavi thanked athletes, medalists, and diligent coaches of Imam Reza (A.S.) Caravan who participated in Rio 2016 Olympics.
According to Astan News, Hujjat al-Islam wa al-Muslimin Seyyed Ibrahim Raeisi's message text is as follows:
In the Name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Athletes, medalists, and diligent coaches of Imam Reza (A.S.) Caravan in Rio 2016 Olympics; now that your caravan which was emblazoned with the name of Imam Ali Ibn al-Musa al-Reza (A.S.) succeeded, with your prideful endeavor and despite of difficulties, to raise Iran's flag in the world and obtain eight medals, I, as a servant at Razavi Holy Shrine and a member of the proud Iranian nation, appreciate you and respect your great endeavor.
I extend my sincere thanks to all the athletes and coaches who represented their love and affection to the Household of the Apostle of God (S.A.W.) and Imam Reza (A.S.) in different ways.
I also thank our athlete sisters for observing their veil at the games and it is hoped that they become, in the shade of gracious look of Hazrat Reza (A.S.) steadfast in this way.
Also, I appreciate those who did not succeed to achieve a medal despite of their honest endeavors. All these endeavors will certainly be observed by God.
I'll pray for you in the vicinity of Imam Reza's (A.S.) Holy Shrine.
